My sister got married at 15 and my brother in law got locked up for a year since she wasn't legal federally (even though they were married in a different country thus should have had immunity from it even after becoming a citizen), but once she grew old enough he got let out and it was magically okay. I get kind of irritable whenever that term is thrown around because of that.
